Title: Sales Director
Salary range :100K-130K /year
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
The candidate will serve as the No1. Sales Director for the Subsidiaries in the United States and will be primarily responsible for expanding offline supermarket and retailer channels.
The company currently operates its North American sales business with a focus on sofas and mattresses, primarily in OEM and ODM formats. The Sales Director's role will include expanding sales to the company’s flagship product line, specifically mattresses.
The Sales Director role will be IC (independent contributor ), and will lead the team in the future. The candidate is required to have experience in the furniture industry and a proven ability to independently develop offline sales channels. Target retailers include prominent chains such as Costco and Home Depot.
The position is currently based in Arizona, and remote work is acceptable. The company, recently registered in the United States, is in the process of selecting a location for its office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's objectives for the U.S. market.
- Establish sales targets and forecasts to drive revenue growth and achieve company goals.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing sales team to consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales personnel to enhance team capabilities and performance.
3. Market Analysis
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the furniture and soft goods industry.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and partners to foster loyalty and drive sales growth.
- Manage and negotiate high-value contracts and partnerships to optimize business outcomes.
5. Product and Industry Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, industry trends, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales efforts with broader organizational objectives.
7. Performance Measurement
- Implement and utilize performance metrics and analytics to monitor sales team effectiveness and inform decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the home furnishings or soft goods sector.
Extensive knowledge of the U.S. furniture market and an established network of industry contacts.
Capable of independently developing offline channels, targeting supermarkets such as Costco and Home Depot.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in sales analytics tools and software.
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, with remote work arrangements initially, transitioning to a hybrid model at a later stage
