As a 1st shift electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read schematics and blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will also mentor apprentices and keep abreast of new technologies and repair techniques.
Specific Accountabilities:
• Installation of switchgear
• Rough and finish wiring and control systems
• Installs system components and wiring in compliance with the applicable standards
• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Instruct and coach apprentices
• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
• Other assigned work as required

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred
• Appropriate credentials and certifications
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
