How
Design and document control systems for various types of custom automated equipment
Produce and maintain design drawings via CAD, CREO
Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvements of processes and methods as well as reduce manufacturing cycle times while maintaining high quality standards.
Coordinate machine debug, power-up, and machine validation, and improvement.
Participate in the development of test protocols for all aspects of mechanical components, equipment and machinery
Provide ongoing support to Manufacturing
Drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day activities
Support the organization with sharing and implementing best practices across all locations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
What we look for
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and/or Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant experience in lieu thereof
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Automation role
Experience in designing mechanical assemblies and programming systems in Robotics, Automated Systems, Vision Systems and Machine Controls
Experience in Project Management
Experience electrical design and machine PLC/HMI programming
Ability to problem solve effectively
Accurate and detail oriented, with the ability to follow through on tasks and objectives
Ability to function effectively as part of a team
Strong written and oral English communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels throughout the organization
