This is a Term appointment NTE 2 years, current Federal civilian employees may apply, and if selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position.
Salary Range $72,553 - $94,317Qualifications/Requirements:
In this position you will provide programming and base development technical engineering support performing the more difficult and complex tasks for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects of real property facilities including utility systems at Mountain Home Air Force Base

• Obtain & maintain a security clearance
• Experience requirements: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/engineering-technical-series-0802/
• Experience evaluating and recommending approval quests for new construction, renovation, and improvements of real property facilities including utility systems
• Experience using and applying technical engineering knowledge in developing programming documents for the accomplishment of operations and maintenance (O&M)
• Experience coordinating projects with engineers in a variety of disciplines and/or with architects
• Experience working with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering/architectural authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed facility programs/projects
• Experience in using standard mathematical formulas to make computations and correct deficiencies
• General and practical knowledge of engineering concepts, methods, principles, practices, and techniques; familiarity with engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural, utilities, etc)
• Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control, and budget systems; work classifications and the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures of appropriated and non-appropriated funds; automated data processing system capabilities and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions
• Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles and surveying methods, equipment, and techniques of measurements to identify project requirements
• Ability to plan and record site/facility surveys and inspections
• Substantial training and/or experience in methods and practices of drafting techniques sufficient to produce engineering drawing involving original, novel and/or complex designs is highly desired
