Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely billing for healthcare services provided, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Review and verify billing information, including assignments of codes and charges, to minimize discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any outstanding payments.
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies by working collaboratively with relevant parties.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing or coding, preferably in a remote capacity.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and coding software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, necessary to convey information accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced remote environment.
