The Quality Program Administrator for the Opioid Abatement Program leads quality initiatives and manages performance improvement efforts within the healthcare system. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to maintain accreditations and implement best practices in pain management and opioid abatement. The position requires a background in nursing or a related healthcare field and a strong understanding of quality metrics and project management principles.
Overview:
The Opioid Abatement Program is funded by the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Grant. This grant program is integrated with Norman Regional's Centers of Excellence and supports best practice initiatives surrounding pain management and opioid abatement.
The Norman Regional Centers of Excellence are a team of dedicated individuals from all disciplines, who operate across departments within the health system to focus on providing leadership and direction to select service lines. We do this by establishing and promoting best practices; engaging process and quality improvement; providing support and education; and by optimizing the utilization of resources while contributing in a positive manner to the overall financial wellbeing of the organization. Responsibilities:
Job Summary
- Serves as a leader in quality and promotes its integration into the program.
- Administers a robust performance and process improvement program.
- Administers the Center of Excellence program and leads the multidisciplinary team(s) in order to obtain and maintain accreditation(s) and/or certification(s).
- Develops, manages, and utilizes data and quality metrics.
- Takes responsibility for continued professional growth and development. .
- Collaborates in marketing and promoting the program through community outreach and education.
- Maintains strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership.
Qualifications
Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Education
Bachelors in nursing or healthcare related field required, Master's preferred.
Experience
Requires 3-5 years of experience in related healthcare field. Must demonstrate understanding of principles of project management, quality, performance improvement, and evidence based practice.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.
Licensed or registered in nursing or allied health profession.
