General Summary of Position
We are actively recruiting for an experienced Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC on a PRN basis. Ideal candidates will be available more than the minimum of four shifts per month and have both weekday and weekend availability.
Provides pharmaceutical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a more senior clinical pharmacist/manager. Evaluates and interprets physician orders and dispenses medication and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established operational procedures, professional standards or practice as well as state and district and Federal laws.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Doctoral degree PharmD or an equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of
Pharmacy required
Experience
- 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required. PGY-1 preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- RPH - Registered Pharmacist Licensure in Washington, DC required
- Board certification preferred

technical, clinical or administrative problems

- INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Work is occasionally performed according to existing procedures and instructions
but often requires analysis of problems and development of solutions. This involves determining appropriate
methods and task sequences
- Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
This position has a hiring range of $48.36 - $91.51
