POSITION OVERVIEW
Kate Farms is looking for a Help Desk Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This is a hybrid position working onsite most days. The Help Desk Engineer will provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, resolve network problems, and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and an established working knowledge of Help Desk Support.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to end users through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, perform diagnostics and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, including network connectivity and printing.
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware components.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, security groups, and access rights.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel.
- Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on using computer systems and software.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software.
- Participate in on-call support rotations to provide after-hours support.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Help Desk related experience.
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.

This position will work in an office environment with the potential flexibility of working from home part of the week. Must be able to work on-site a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component that together comprise the On-Target-Earnings (OTE). Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of equity.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. This range represents the lowest to highest salary range we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of background verification.
Salary Minimum : $ 77,057 Salary Maximum $105,000
For full-time salaried or hourly workers, our total rewards package also includes the option to enroll in a company-matched 401k plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive a generous PTO benefit with a starting accrual of 15 days per year (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure), two weeks of paid “Refresh” leave, 80 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
