SUMMARY - Performs more complex assembly processes, using different tools and methods to precisely assemble parts into finished products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Possesses a foundational knowledge of electronic assembly and developing skills in specific processes.
- Begins working independently on more complex tasks, following detailed instructions and shows basic troubleshooting skills.
- Participate in various processing and assembly stages such as cable assembly, pre-production, and connecting hardware components.
- Assemble components based on provided instructions.
- Adjust and maintain assembly equipment to meet product specifications.
- Understands and applies quality control processes and may utilize testing techniques.
- Utilizes hand tools and operates a variety of equipment such as microscopes, scales, gauges, and crimping equipment with skill, and performs minor adjustments as needed.
- May be able to perform soldering, precise wire stripping and terminating.
- Ability to meet production rates with a high level of quality.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES -
- Completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 to 2 years of related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Soldering experience is a plus and may be required for certain positions.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbally provided work instructions.
