Description
Under general supervision, the Radiologic Technologist assists Radiologists, Cardiologists, and Interventionists in the performance of Interventional, Angiographic and Therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by imaging, monitoring, or scrub assisting for these physicians while maintaining a safe quality patient environment. Also operates conventional, fluoroscopic, or portable radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body portions, providing assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to physician specifications. In doing so, positions patients and adjust equipment to correct setting for each examination. In addition to patient imaging, will assist with and/or provide input for technologist schedules, evaluation, selection process, and orientation of radiologic technologist to the department.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: 2 year formal training in radiology special procedures or equivalent educ/experience
- Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiac-Interventional Radiography or
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography or
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Vascular-Interventional Radiography or
- Upon hire: National Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- 2 years experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Participation in continuing education program
- 2 years experience in a special procedures or Cardiovascular Lab
