Job Description:
Responsible for planning, directing, and implementing Mission Integration and Spiritual Care activities throughout Essentia Health for its hospital and clinic-based services. Combines strategic thinking and guidance with a spirit of collaboration to ensure that the organization is faithful to its purpose, Catholic identity and core values. As a member of the leadership team this position provides direction and support for the integration of spiritual care, Mission, Catholic Identity, and ethical decision-making throughout organizational operations. Interacts with stakeholders at all levels to achieve goals including Benedictine Sponsors, governing board, physicians, senior leadership, front line staff, and Catholic and other church leadership within the communities. Works directly with patients of all ages in providing spiritual care services.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
A graduate degree in counseling, theology, or related field is desired.
Experience:
5 years of experience in a pastoral setting.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Certification by NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains) or APC (Association of Professional Chaplains) is desired.
Due to our affiliation with the Benedictine Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery, candidates are required to be Roman Catholic.
