We are growing! Our commercial real estate company in West Palm Beach is seeking an Accounting Manager. The candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day property accounting management functions, including implementing and overseeing the company’s financial policies and procedures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, CAM reconciliation, budgets, fixed assets, financial reporting, and reporting to investors. This opportunity is a hybrid remote work position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and communicate with the accounting team.
- Hire and train accounting employees.
- Manage client relations.
- Communicate and report to the management team.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all general ledger accounts.
- Oversee and assist with month-end close activities, including balancing of books, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee and assist with monthly financial reports for management, investors, and lenders.
- Oversee and assist with the preparation of monthly depreciation reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee and assist with CAM reconciliations and budget reviews.
- Oversee financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the company maintains high compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with special projects as required.
BS degree in Accounting, MBA a plus; 5+ years of post-graduate property accounting management experience, demonstrating extensive management experience with A/R, A/P, General Ledger, and financial reporting; Positive team player with strong management skills; Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities; Self-starter; must have ability to work independently; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi, MRI and Avid knowledge a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
