Join our plant in Wyoming, MI, as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic. You will play a crucial role in identifying and preventing issues in the plant environment. The safety of our employees and our products is crucial. Help us achieve our safety goals by proactively accessing your environment and attending to issues or concerns. Lead as you share your knowledge of safety rules and regulatory compliance with your colleagues, making the workplace safer and more productive.
This is a night shift: 6pm-6am, with a 3-day weekend every other weekend! The pay for this position is $38.34 per hour with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying Your PLC Knowledge - Alternate between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers. This is a special opportunity to enhance your expertise, but you need to already be a creative problem-solver who clearly documents your learnings.
- Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions— Identify and examine production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis,interpreting schematics and drawings. We’ll rely on you to investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives and hydraulics, and conveyors.
- Prioritizing Innovation and Communication -Actively seek ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings, maintaining an open dialogue with your lead and supervisor regarding day-to-day activities. Your drive for excellence and ability to connect with others will lead you toward a successful future.
We're Looking for Someone With
- High School diploma or GED
- Journeyman’s or 4 years of equivalent experience
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50 lbs.), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Previous experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
