What you will do
As an Engineer you will work in the Air Handling Product Engineering team that is part of the Applied Equipment Group for Johnson Controls. We manufacture Air Handling equipment for Building HVAC, Data Centers and Industrial processes. This position will be in our York, PA Factory.
Key elements of the Engineer’s role are to test and analyze fan performance, execute design changes, manipulate data sets to derive the optimum offering and to execute against a prioritized list of projects. The Fan Engineer is recognized as the authority, subject matter expert and expected to guide/lead business decisions.
How you will do it
Applies extensive use of statistical analysis and other data regression tools.
Providing technical direction to engineers, drafters and technicians on specific work assignments. Will be working at times in a test Lab setting.
Assists and collaborates with other departments in the design or improvement of products.
Provides necessary support and interface to thoroughly resolve field and factory issues and concerns.
Advances the state of the art in fan performance and application.
Proficient at understanding and applying compliance to multiple standards (UL, DOE, AHRI, AMCA and others).
Proficient at analyzing product design requirements and recommending solutions.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of Experience
Experience with software testing and multiple data base manipulation
High level of self-motivation and integrity
Effective and professional communication and organizational skills are required
Ability to troubleshoot, collaborate and brainstorm with other team members
