Description
Performs a variety of ultrasound examinations relating to high risk obstetrics, including fetal echocardiograms, nuchal translucencies, first trimester anatomy, and surveillance of multiple gestations. Expectations include assisting the maternal fetal medicine specialist with invasive procedures. Competency & efficiency in operating various ultrasound machines & probes to achieve high quality images for detailed fetal anatomic surveys, transvaginal ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, specialized Doppler studies, & other procedure as needed. Makes a clinical judgement of the patient's condition, based on the information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient statements, and personal assessments. Under general supervision of the Supervisor Diagnostic Imaging, and according to established policies and procedures, the senior ultrasound technologist will orient new hires and mentor ultrasound technologists.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound training program and is board eligible or board registered by ARDMS in OB/GYN
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement
- Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography orUpon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Within 1 year of hire RDMS in Fetal Echocardiography Or
- Within 1 year of hire RDCS in Fetal Echocardiography
- 5 years Clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound, including OB/GYN
- 2 year MFM and Fetal Echo Sonographic experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
