Overview:
The Woodlands at Canterfield, a brand new Assisted Living and Memory Support community located in West Dundee, Illinois is looking for a dynamic Resident Care Assistant/Care Giver. This is Part-Time position. Looking for all shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am). Shift differentials and Weekend differentials available.
Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits to the best of their abilities while promoting their dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights.
Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
- Assist the residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) and medication reminders.
- Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes, making appropriate follow-up decisions, documentation, and communication to appropriate associates.
- Assist the residents with leisure time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
- Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Experience: 1-2+ years of caregiving experience preferred
