This role is located onsite in San Antonio, Texas.
The Senior IT Technician, under general supervision of the IT Manager, performs analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning, design, maintenance and the installation of new and existing personal computer systems. The Senior IT Technician performs level 2 triage and provides onsite support for Systems, Network and Telecom support. The Senior IT Technician installs new hardware and software and maintains existing endpoint hardware and software and trains end users on the use of equipment and software. The Senior IT Technician will need to have excellent communication skills for this role. The Senior IT Technician will represent IT to end users, being professional/personable and understanding of customer needs The SentAccuracy, completeness, dependability and ability to complete tasks on time
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
o Associate’s degree or Technical degree in a computer field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Field Experience:
o At least 4 years of experience in the IT field
Position Experience:
o At least 3 years of experience in an IT Technician or equivalent position
Other Qualifications:
o Career orientation towards end user support with Windows software and hardware experience
o Proficient in MS Office, OneDrive and Teams
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, personal computer-based application software, printers, and general networking and telecommunications
o Proficient with remote support tools
o Working knowledge of Windows System hardware and peripherals
o Ability to resolve personal computer hardware issues including but not limited to component level diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and replacements.
