Co-Worker Services RN/LPN Overview:
- Performs new hire/annual physical assessments and PI program requirements including surveillance programs for co-worker environmental exposure to hazardous materials or communicable diseases.
- Performs blood pressure checks, injections, counseling or evaluates co-workers who experience an incident at work to provide first aid or direction for more involved medical treatment, as necessary.
- Works as a member of the Workers Compensation team, evaluating injured co-workers, completing investigations, data entering claims, scheduling medical appointments, interacts frequently with injured co-workers, their leaders, Mercy's claim specialists, physicians, therapists, etc.
- Leads training requirements in compliance with Mercy's Safe Patient Handling (SPH) program for new hires, annual competencies and when needed.
- Manages the SPH Committee meetings and minutes to maintain program compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN or LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Experience: Occupational Health experience
- Certification/Registration: Three years current clinical experience and current CPR certification required.
