Travel Representative
Remote US or Canada
Hourly salary : $19.50 to $20.50 DOE
Hours: Training hours Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. Permanent hours may include weekends or nights to accommodate client volume.
Summary:
The Travel Representative will be responsible for ticketing as well as all aspects of travel for the Patient and Medical Escort.
Responsibilities
- Create reservations for patients, escorts and travel companions utilizing GDS and online booking tools.
- Book hotels and ground transportation when required.
- Relay country entry requirements and travel restrictions.
- Handle travel issues, conflicts, cancellations and refunds.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments and transactions.
Qualification:
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Excellent knowledge of computer reservation computer programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks Working knowledge of domestic and international travel trends.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or related field (Preferred).
- Up to date or eligible to apply for state licensing or registration requirements.
- 1+ years of experience working as a travel agent required.
- Experience working in various GDS systems including Sabre and Amadeus.
