Plan, organize, control, and supervise clinical activities of the practice according to evidence based practice standards, policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. Recommends innovation in the practice and function of the department and carries out mutually agreed upon programs. Responsible for oversight of staff education, residency program, and other ongoing programsQualifications:•Strong commitment and evidence of achieving excellence.•Proven history of successfully working in a team environment.•Proven history of a commitment to patient care and alignment with Essentia Health values.•Experience providing and/or overseeing progressive pharmacy infusion or cancer care services in an integrated healthcare system, and one of the following:- Completion of a PGY2 pharmacy residency in Hematology/Oncology and a minimum of 1 years applicable pharmacy practice experience- or completion of an accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency and a minimum of 2 years applicable pharmacy practice experience including 1 year of supervisory experience- or a minimum of 5 years applicable pharmacy experience with a minimum of 1 years pharmacy supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications:•Board Certified by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in Oncology Practice (BCOP)•Experience in all pharmacy related aspects of working with Chemotherapy, biological and other common infusion and injection pharmaceuticals•Research experience as a research investigator or experience in overseeing clinical practice research•History of active participation and leadership in pharmacy professional organizations
Education Qualifications:
Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required)
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota.
If currently registered as a Pharmacist in another state, must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy of the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota) as a Pharmacist-Intern and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire.
Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
