Job Summary
Under the direction of a charge nurse, the Patient Care Technician II assists the nursing staff in provision of basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Responds to any patient call lights
- Gives status report of patient to appropriate personnel
- Performs documentation duties on unit, which is timely, comprehensive, and concise, in order to provide accurate information
- Assists with personal hygiene
- Assists with activities of daily living and mobility
- Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment
- Perform other duties as required
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 1 year experience in related field
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Course
