POSITION SUMMARY
Lead programs for kids, youth, adults, families, and group activities, such as snorkeling, kayaking, underwater photography and videography, botanic park (terrestrial) tours, sustainable living lessons, arts & crafts, etc. Explain and promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Demonstrate knowledge of local and cultural heritage. Prepare for each activity, ensuring that the co-naturalist or attendant is also prepared with any necessary materials, and guiding the group at all times.
Follow company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational quality. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines; move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university or college in the Environmental Sciences
or equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Clean Drivers Abstract
Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
