Ordaos Bio is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. We have offices in New York City, but this role can be fully remote (or hybrid if desired). The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects across the organization. This individual will manage drug development projects across cross-functional teams, and will collaborate with the Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Technical Team Leads, and Operations to define project scopes, establish timelines, allocate resources, and oversee project deliverables. This role will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Collaborate with scientific leads to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure effective execution of initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues
- Facilitate regular project meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
- Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to ensure project goals are met and provide clarity on project objectives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, while proactively recommending solutions and plan-b's to keep projects on track.
- Prepare project reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing project status, risks, and key accomplishments.
Required:
- The role requires excellent project management skills, a deep understanding of the biotech industry, and the ability to drive multiple workstreams to completion
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, biotech, bioengineering, project management).
- 5+ years of project management experience in the biotechnology industry. Pharma industry is acceptable if there is also proven experience working with software/machine learning teams while in a pharma role.
- Proven experience with complex projects managing across wet lab, machine learning, and software teams.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., Github and Github Projects preferred).
- Truly outstanding organization and communication skills. You should be a people person who likes bringing things from Chaos to Order (this is also where Ordaos gets its name!).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Previous experience at a startup or other fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Understanding of drug development process (high level, not necessary to have hands-on lab skills)
- Understanding of Machine Learning/AI systems (high level, not necessary to have hands-on coding skills)
- Previous interfacing with/understanding of lab notebook management systems like Benchling
