Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am - 4pm (35 hours per week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our legal team in Hartford, CT. In this full-time role, you will provide critical support by managing phone calls, organizing files, and processing paperwork. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with attorneys, state agencies, and external parties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate team members
- Manage legal documents and ensure efficient file organization
- Prepare and process legal paperwork such as court forms and correspondence
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to streamline workflow
- Liaise with state agencies and external parties as needed
- Handle administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Professional demeanor and empathy when interacting with clients
