Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse school of nursing
- Current and active LPN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Knowledge of Geriatric Nursing required - Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association or American Red Cross standards required
- Knowledge of growth and development across the life span
Responsibilities:

This role involves comprehensive oversight of resident care, regulatory compliance, team supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include:
Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee direct resident care, supervise nursing assistants, make staffing assignments, and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Provide training on safety protocols, manage unit supplies, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.
- Monitor resident care assignments, medication distribution, and respond to residents’ requests for assistance.
Patient Care Duties:
- Conduct resident assessments, administer medications, and develop individualized care plans.
- Observe and document resident conditions, respond to emergencies, and notify physicians of changes as needed.
- Assist with treatment, manage meal tray checks, and support resident admission processes.
Safety and Health Standards:
- Identify and address safety hazards, enforce infection control, and ensure clean and secure storage of medication and equipment.
- Follow procedures for safe use of supplies and maintain orderly work areas.
Professional Development:
- Engage in facility training programs, attend meetings, and complete continuing education.
- Present a professional appearance and demonstrate punctuality and dependability.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain resident care records, revise care plans, and complete discharge documentation as required.
- Adhere to facility policies, uphold resident rights, and work cooperatively with staff and residents.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Support the evaluation of nursing personnel and participate in resident care conferences as needed.
