The Pixelogic Internship is a paid position at $18/hr. Interns will be trained in Incoming QC work. They will go through training, learning and knowledge application for twelve weeks. Each week the intern will be required to invest time analyzing and reporting upon the training they are receiving to help identify gaps and process improvements. The intern will then create the missing documents, video courses and other material to complete the training system. Managers and Mentors will be assigned to each Intern. The actual work that the Interns will experience are hands on and the skills acquired after training are valuable to any employer and will have practical career applications in the real world.
Training, Learning and Responsibilities:
Training includes introduction to audio, video and subtitle QC or Pre-QC and interns will experience the quality checking and evaluating of incoming data. They will also be trained in ensure that all security protocols are followed when dealing with sensitive material. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
DATA IQC
• Facilitate communication between IQC and all other departments in order to schedule and resolve issues within a fast-paced, dynamic workflows.
• Continuously monitor progress of multiple projects in order to use resources such as time and storage space efficiently.
• Facilitate the delivery of digital files via various file transmissions means such as Aspera (P2P and Faspex), Signiant, FTP as well as multiple client proprietary transmissions tools.
• Download digital files and post to various storage production networks/ servers in a timely manner.
• Log digital assets as they come in and notify the recipients as soon as possible.
• Degree from an accredited College or University and must be able to provide a copy of school
transcripts upon request.
• Must be able to commit to 12 weeks of work at full-time work schedule. Must be available to work overtime, including weekend, if necessary.
• Must be able to work onsite in Burbank, CA- this is not a remote position.
• Passionate about quality, customer experience and customer service excellence.
• Technically literate and comfortable with a variety of computer applications.
• Familiarity with Mac and/or Windows operating systems.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a fast-paced
work environment.
• Must be a self-starter, quick-learner, inquisitive and have excellent communication skills.
• College degree in media or computer science or other related schooling a PLUS!
• Previous internships or work experience in data technology, helpful.
• Must be able to start immediately and have reliable transportation to report to work on time.
