Formal Education / Training:
1. Eared a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
2. Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
3. Minimum of one-year medical-surgical nursing experience.
4. ACLS within 6 months of hire.
5. BLS within 90 days of hire.
Workplace Experience:
1-year critical care
Equipment and Skills Training:
Ability to operate physiologic monitoring equipment, replay sequences on radiology equipment, Meditech computer system, I.V. pumps, and other patient monitoring tools. Knowledge of medications and their administration.
Physical Environment:
Hospital setting, sterile patient testing room(s).
Physical Effort:
• Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting (50 lbs.)
• Ability to transport patients on stretchers, or in beds up to 250 lbs. dependently or independently.
• Make appropriate judgment decisions in urgent or emergency situations

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS - Correctly enters information in patient monitoring system.
- Prepares patient for procedure.
- Shaves correct site
- Reviews patient chart for H&P, Lab results, and other pertinent information.
- Explains procedure when necessary
- Educates patient, post procedural care
- Facilitates staff development.
- Monitors patient prior to, during and post procedure.
- Handles/ transports/ stores/ prepares/ administers medications/ solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Documents accurately and timely
- Ability to locate needed supplies in a timely manner.
- Communicates with physician(s) and other team members.
- Ability to reproduce exam on CD/film.
- Seeks opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always makes good use of time.
- Completes duties before leaving and is willing to work over or cover shifts when workload/shortage dictates.
- Working environment is clean, organized, well stocked, and free of clutter.
