The Senior Director, Accounting is responsible for the ongoing development, modification and review of accounting systems, reporting methodologies and associated controls. This position leads the Record to Report and compliance activities for the group and owns timely closure of consolidated books monthly, preparation of consolidated and legal entity financial statements and closure of related audits with Big4 firms and ownership of SOX / controls and regulatory compliance.
In this role you will:

Owns the overall Record to Report function for the company and works closely with other process owners in the accounting and finance team. Directs, coordinates, and administers accounting operations which includes general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Oversees the analyses of records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred
- Review/perform periodic balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis and takes appropriate follow-up action as required. Monitors and ensures unreconciled items are appropriately acted upon and suggests / implements remedial actions.
- Has the ability to research and analyze complex accounting guidelines under US GAAP / IFRS like Leases, Hedging, Business Combinations etc. and take accounting positions and prepare technical accounting memos.
- Leads integration of acquired entities. Has the ability to lead a multi-location team and work across people in different time zones.
- Collaborates with management in matters related to the preservation of capital and assets and provides necessary oversight on company expenditures
- Serve as primary contact for all audits and coordinating assistance requested by the auditors
- Makes recommendations to maintain and enhance processes and controls and leads the remediation of any control deficiency.
- Typically directs a staff of 8-10, responsible for general accounting duties company-wide, across international geographies.
