As the primary Facility Security Officer, this role will support the agile development of innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments.
What you'll do:
- Oversee and expand Fuse security and COMSEC programs in support of National Industrial Security Program (NIST)
- Prepare for and conduct periodic inspections
- Complete, issue and maintain DD254s
- Process necessary badges, visit requests and certifications
- Process and track employee security clearances and perform administrative support functions to include Defense Information System for Security (DISS) administration
- Ensure appropriate storage, safeguarding, and disclosure requirements are followed
- Administer comprehensive security education training program
- Maintain personal training and certifications
- Administer standard operating procedures in accordance with the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DoD 5105.21-M-1, COMSEC Manual 90-1, and the Fuse Security Practices and Procedures
- Maintain personnel security records
- Oversee implementation of cyber security requirements and documentation for certification and accreditation of systems
- Maintain successful working relationships with government agencies and customers
- Manage access for controlled areas
- Coordinate with upper management on security protocols and legal requirements
We are looking for:
- BA or BS degree and at least 5 years of experience with industrial security, NISPOM, COMSEC programs, clearance processing, document control, and physical security; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Must be able to be on-call and available to support after hours for urgent issues
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with both corporate and government management, and facilitate solutions that meet multiple demands and priorities
- Demonstrated experience accrediting and implementing classified Networks onsite (internal and external)
- Previous experience as a COMSEC custodian, including managing a COMSEC account, briefings, inventory, audits, equipment, and database (desired)
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Experience using e-QIP and the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be a nimble self-starter who is excited about technology and has the ability to think out of the box and suggest powerful new ideas
