About the Medicine II Unit: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team at New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Medicine II unit. The Medicine II unit is renowned for its strong emphasis on teamwork, which is consistently improving. It fosters a culture of open communication and actively seeks feedback from staff to management, ensuring continuous growth and development. Moreover, the unit provides many opportunities for widening skill sets, boasting excellent staff who are enthusiastic about teaching and sharing their expertise . Notably, the leadership's elevated level of involvement has led to the unit being nominated for the title of most improved unit of 2023 Q4, reflecting its commitment to excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities- A ssessing patients' conditions and health needs.
- Developing and implementing nursing care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Facilitate skill development and knowledge sharing among staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
- Advocating for patients' rights and coordinating their care within the healthcare system.
Qualifications- Associate degree in nursing
- Current valid North Carolina N ursing L icense or Multi-State/Compact
- Commitment to continuous growth and development
- Enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and mentorship
- One-year relevant experience, preferred
