The Marketing, Arts, & Air Service Development Department is seeking an engaging and passionate Senior Copywriter to join the Marketing team to shape and tell the story of San Diego International Airport (SAN), one of the region’s most recognized and celebrated assets. In this key role, you will be instrumental in driving our brand forward, crafting compelling narratives that resonate with both local and global audiences through a variety of channels— print, digital campaigns, website , and internal communications.
You’ll collaborate closely with various teams to create content that reflects SAN’s purpose, culture, and mindsets, ensuring consistent and powerful messaging across all communications. You will be responsible for developing engaging copy that enhances the passenger experience, promotes key airport initiatives, and strengthens SAN’s reputation as a world-class transportation hub. What You’ll Do:
- Create compelling, effective copy: Develop copy that resonates with the target audience and meets marketing objectives across platforms.
- Ensure consistency with brand identity: Align all marketing communications with SAN’s brand values, voice, and tone, tailored for different audiences.
- Review and edit copy: Ensure all written materials are error-free, consistent in style, and meet quality standards.
- Present copy ideas to stakeholders: Pitch copy concepts and creative rationale to internal and external teams for approval.
- Refine copy based on data and insights: Use performance data to adjust and improve copywriting strategies for ongoing relevance.

The Experience You Need to Have**:
- Six years of increasingly responsible of progressively responsible marketing, advertising, and brand management experience, with at least three years of experience in a supervisory or program management capacity, and any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
