About the Job:
The Marketing, Arts, & Air Service Development Department is seeking a Sr. Graphic Design & Branding Specialist to join the Marketing team and drive the visual identity for San Diego International Airport (SAN). In this role, you will play an integral part in developing cohesive, impactful branding solutions that enhance and position SAN as a prominent transportation hub with a compelling, globally recognized visual presence.
As the primary graphic designer and creative point of contact for our external marketing agency , you will spearhead collaborative projects that support SAN’s purpose. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with internal and external teams, delivering innovative brand strategies that reinforce SAN’s reputation as an industry leader.
What You’ll Do:
- Envision and execute internal design needs: Lead internal design initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and marketing strategies.
- Lead and collaborate on design projects: Partner with external agencies and internal teams to manage and guide creative projects from concept to completion.
- Deliver high-quality work: Present design work to stakeholders and leadership, ensuring professional and polished final products.
- Collaborate with teams: Work with cross-functional teams to develop cohesive visual concepts and styles for marketing projects.
- Champion consistency with branding guidelines: Ensure all materials adhere to established branding guidelines, maintaining brand integrity across channels.
- Review and approve artwork: Oversee approval of all branded materials, ensuring quality and consistency before production.

The Experience You Need to Have**:
- Six years of increasingly responsible of progressively responsible marketing, advertising, and brand management experience, with at least three years of experience in a supervisory or program management capacity, and any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- ·Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite and other software used to produce graphic design, animating, film editing, and sound editing.
