Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Experience Desired: Experience as a pharmacy intern or technician
- Education Required: Bachelors Degree
- Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy; In process of obtaining a pharmacy license; Immunization License and Valid CPR Certification; Immunization certification/license as required by state
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
Job Responsibilities
- Perform all supporting duties to contribute to the safe and efficient dispensing of all patient orders by following all quality assurance policy and procedures including all data entry, selecting and counting
medication and performing double checks on prescriptions. - Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding all patient needs including counseling and problem solving.
- Adhere to all company, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
- Maintain a neat and sterile work environment to ensure all company, local, state and federal government requirements are met.
- Review all appropriate service and business metrics and assist team on action plans to improve outcome.
- Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting on line order, adding and adjusting order points, order quantities and on-hand counts in the computer, submitting orders to outside venders for products/supplies
and assisting manager in preparation of physical inventories. - Assist manager to provide an optimal team and patient experience by proper delegation of work assignments and efficient use of supplies and equipment.
- Assist in mentoring / training new team members in the pharmacy.
- Plan and assist in execution of store/community outreach programs that improve the patient experience.
- Assist pharmacy team by communicating current events or alerts/changes with the practice of pharmacy.
- Assist team members with tasks to ensure department runs efficiently.
- Complete all necessary daily and weekly reports; process required forms and documents.
- Communicate to manager any further coaching/training needed to prepare you for the pharmacist role.
- Perform all regular duties of Pharmacy Technician/Service Technician as needed.
