Manpower Engineering is looking for a Controls Engineer to work onsite at our client’s plant in Harrodsburg, KY.
Overview:
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical support for ongoing operation and maintenance of facilities control systems
- Manage capital projects related to system upgrades and/or energy Improvement projects
- Actively participate with the division resources to develop, define, and re-enforce standard equipment devices, controllers, components, and software
- Actively participate in, and support design reviews for all new equipment configurations / software.
- Perform the necessary rigor to ensure standard designs are included in Rebuild Appropriation Requests and installed according to the standard.
Travel Requirements:
- International and domestic travel required (less than 15%).
Required Education and Experience:
- BS or MS BSEE or BSEET
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong, demonstrated experience with industrial controls, field instrumentation, HMI software, PLC code, and control platforms
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
- Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions
- Ability to use the scientific method and engineering principles to solve problems thoroughly and effectively
- Ability to translate engineering solutions to process requirements that deliver and/or improve performance criteria
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
- Results oriented and high commitment
