Reporting to the Supervisor of the Sports Medicine and Performance service line or designee, the Sports Physical Therapist is responsible for all patient care assessments, treatments and related duties, providing comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the department. The Sports Physical Therapist's responsibilities include assessment, planning, treatment, and ongoing evaluation for the youth and adult athlete, as well as general orthopedic, non-complex neurological or occasional pediatric patients depending on their area of expertise. Ideal candidate will have a background in strength and conditioning and/or athletic training and clinical expertise in the treatment of athletic patients, including knowledge of return to play progressions. Candidate will be comfortable working as part of a diverse clinical and non-clinical team and have the ability to clearly communicate with coaches, athletic trainers and strength professionals within and outside of our network.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program required.
- Experience
- Previous outpatient experience in sports setting strongly preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current license to practice physical therapy in Massachusetts required.
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- ABPTS OCS or SCS preferred, or the ambition to pursue
- NSCA certification such as CSCS preferred, or the ambition to pursue
