PRN Variable Shifts
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures according to established standards and practices under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an experienced or lead ultrasound/vascular technologist. Performs ultrasound imaging such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations (ex., peripheral vascular [arterial and venous], renal, aorta/iliac, and carotid artery) and may perform more complex imaging such as breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (ex., biopsies). Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Currently enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) in Canada.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1 year as a student in are accredited Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) program.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
