Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s North Carolina Battery Plant Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Parts Ordering Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Supply Chain Manager and support meeting all Production Control safety, quality, cost, and productivity KPI s during initial pre-production through SOP and eventual transition into responsibility for parts storage/maintenance/ordering.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the person in this role will support the Production Control department’s objective to ensure the integrity of TBMNC’s supply chain and minimize Toyota Total Supply Chain Costs.
What you’ll be doing
System set up and daily order management of component parts to support the manufacturing process.
Determine ideal inventory strategy to minimize costs and ensure JIT supply to manufacturing.
Monitor component inventory and adjust deliveries to maintain ideal inventory levels.
Create and analyze data reports including KPIs, order receiving, stock outs, exceptions, and past due reports.
Adjusts all inventory targets and delivery needs based on monthly production changes.
Manage material obsolescence to reduce inventory costs and improve space management.
Communications related to supplier management including forecasts, project timelines, obsolescence timing, expedites, etc.
Support supplier onboarding and training.
Collaborate to kaizen TBMNC and supplier systems & processes.
Support requirements gathering, development and testing of new production control systems.
Manage TBMNC critical expedites.
Physical inventory management.
What you bring
Process Engineering or Production Control experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication & visualization skills.
Ability to create and execute strategic direction.
Hoshin execution.
Technical problem-solving ability (Plan Do Check Act, Root Cause/Counter Measure, or Toyota Business Practice).
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Physical inventory management.
Supplier management.
Added bonus if you have
Battery Manufacturing experience.
3 Pillar management/execution experience.
Kaizen/Continuous Improvement.
