Job Description
The Perioperative Manager, under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, guides the nursing care of patients. Serves as a resource person for fellow employees. Encourages and supports departmental staff in team development and function. With department directors, assumes responsibility for the long term planning for the unit in collaboration with nursing schools, medical staff and administrative staff. This position would have daily operational oversight of Preop, OR, PACU and SPD.
MUSC Black River currently operates 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Procedure Room.
Additional Job Description
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: at least 2 years Perioperative Nurse Management experience required
State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
