Responsibilities Physical Therapy Assistant - Fulltime

Position Description:
To provide Physical Therapy services to patients under the supervision of the physical therapist in the adult outpatient setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy.
Job Duties:
- Implements treatment plan in accordance with methods, techniques, modalities, procedures, and supervisory guidelines.
- Appropriately provide patient and family education in preparation for discharge.
- Actively participates in committees and task forces as appropriate.
- Meets documentation standards with patient charts.
- Charge accurately and appropriately for services rendered.
- Perform thorough and efficient chart review to prepare for patient care.
- Positive and professional communication with interdisciplinary team members.
- Timely and cost effective delivery of services.
- Displays excellent customer services skills.
- Update supervising therapist on patient status.
- Ensures that patients treatments follow supervisory regulations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Assist other departments during staffing shortages.
Qualifications Position Requirements:
Degree from an accredited PTA program (Associate's Degree).
Prefer 1 year experience in acute care setting; but not required.
Current SC license and BLS.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective interpersonal skills. Clinical competence. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments by the facility.
