DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Performs computed tomographic procedures as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited radiologic technology program.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT certification in CT required and New MexicoState licenses required. New hires will be required to have ARRT certification in CT. SVRMC employees cross training into CT will be required to pass the ARRT certification in CT within 12 months from the start date of training. The employee training will be responsible for all training costs incurred in order to obtain the ARRT certification. This includes courses, prep material and taking the exam. SVRMC will provide on the job training only.
SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, cross sectional anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one-year radiographic experience required and 1 year CT experience preferred.
