This role will support the H&V Special Projects Team as a clinical subject matter expert for a variety of process improvement projects. This person will provide operational support analyzing and optimizing workflows across the inpatient setting, various procedural and imaging areas, and outpatient clinics in Heart and Vascular. This role will partner with relevant stakeholders to document workflows, identify areas of opportunity and tests of change, choose appropriate metrics, develop tracking for these metrics, and monitor progress with goals of improving patient care and experience, employee engagement and reducing cost.
Data Analysis and Management
- Assists in identifying and developing solutions for customer data and information technology needs.
- Collects, organizes, and analyzes data. Generates and provides accurate and complete reports.
- Presents data metrics/dashboards for associated projects.
Project Management
- Coordinates, plans, supports and executes H&V wide projects.
- Provides strategic input for project plan development, budget, and scope.
- Manages the Project Management Life Cycle from inception to completion.
- Establishes cohesion for achieving multi-disciplinary stakeholder and project team buy-in
- Provides continual reports on progress and performance.
- Develop and give presentations on projects to a variety of audiences.
Clinical Assessments
- Observes and documents clinical workflows within various areas of H&V.
- Maps out a process from start to finish identifying areas of improvement.
- Works with subject matter experts to identify and implement tests of change.
- Identifies appropriate metrics to drive change for various process improvement metrics.
Experience
- Clinical background in an ambulatory imaging or procedural area
- Experience in process improvement or operations management
Other duties as assigned
Work as part of a team on a variety of projects across the H&V team. The work will be varied and collaborative. The ability to independently manage and move projects forward is essential. The job will require the incumbent to ask the right questions, dive into the problem, identify solutions, help implement change with the help of team and establish and assist with monitoring of metrics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- Master's degree in nursing, business administration, health care administration or related field preferred.
- 3 – 5 years of healthcare experience with progressive leadership or project management experience.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Georgia Nursing license.
