SUMMARY: Stores, inventories, and issues material and compiles stock records in stockroom.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs cycle counts.
- Weighs small parts in order to count and distribute into kits.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to stock tags.
- Issues door tags as required.
- Distributes stock to production workers, keeping records of material issued.
- Reads and follows SP0009 Picker Note instructions.
- Issues material from pre-built stock inventory when possible.
- Issues newly arrived components for critical parts shortages when possible.
- Performs daily cycle count of selected stock items and compares to computer stock records.
- Resolves discrepancies as required.
- Maintains inventory and other stock records in computer and prints reports.
- Responsible for neatness of stockroom, following ‘first in, first out’ procedures, and maintenance of stock locations to accommodate changes, additions and deletions.
- Moves or transports materials to other departments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through
- Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED),
- Three months to two years of related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. CRT experience and experience with scales.
- May be required to operate forklift and pallet jack.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
