- Patient Diagnoses: Acute Care Patients: Infection, Renal, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Oncology, Ortho, Bariatric, pre transplant, observation and Psychology, long stay, COVID
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Our patients may stay on our unit for only a few hours to a day or be considered long stay, if no beds are available, especially during high census periods. Therefore, as nurses, we can work with many patients in one shift as our patient turnover is very high. An advantage to working with patient placement is the vast variety of patient conditions we receive from the ED. Our nurses receive additional and required training to enable them to care for a variety of patients. So, be prepared to learn a lot of new and challenging skills.
