Overview:
There is something new to learn every day in our 41 bed, Level 3, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We focus not only on caring for our tiny patients, but also on the family as a whole. We partner with our teammates in the labor and delivery unit to deliver safe and compassionate care to our families from delivery to discharge. Teamwork, adaptability and resilience are a must to thrive in the NICU.
β’ Patient acuity ranges from critically ill to stable
β’ Patient nurse ratios range from 3:1 to 1:1
β’ Advanced certifications in Neonatal Care are available
β’ Personalized orientation with our NICU Residency Program
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
