Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Medical Surgical - Inpatient 48's
Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, will accept 36hrs
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- OH License
- 1.5 years experience, experience in a level 1 or 2 preferred
- BLS
- Must be able to read and interpret strips
- Electronic Documentation required
- Travel experience preferred
- ACLS, CPI, NIHSS preferred
- Previous Charge Experience preferred
- Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
- Community Hospital Experience preferred
- LTAC Experience preferred
Targeted patient ratios are 1:7
EPIC experience required

Unit consists of 20-21 beds. Patients require less acute care, hence the reasoning for higher patient ratios. More of a "nursing home" setting. No telemetry monitoring, no blood products, no Bipap if it's not long term.
**For 48-hour contracts, OT is paid out after 48 hours**
Must have the following requirements:
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• BLS - must be able to read and interpret strips
• Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
1.5 years exp, exp in a level 1 or 2 preferred
• Travel experience preferred
EPIC EXP REQUIRED
Unit may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.

These are long length of stay patients who have been transferred to this unit as they are waiting on guardianship, placement, insurance pending, etc.

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
Weekly gross pay based on qualifications and experience. Rate applies to travel positions only (50+ miles from permanent address).
