Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and a confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
The Licensed Practical Nurse-GIG will float between the designated Mercy Hospital facilities of their choice.
Facilities in the East Region include:
- Mercy- St Louis
- Mercy Jefferson- Festus
- Mercy South- South St Louis County
- Mercy Washington- Washington, MO
- Mercy Lincoln- Troy, MO
- Mercy Perry - Perryville, MO
- Mercy Southeast- Cape Girardeau
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Experience: Minimum 1 years’ LPN experience specialty specific or equivalent, must be within the last year.
- Certifications: BLS certified and IV-Certification required.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years LPN experience.
