Role Overview
Under the management of the Director, Program, and in collaboration with a small cohort of Program Managers, this person will co-facilitate the execution of the Good Sports community equipment grants donation strategy. The Program Manager will work closely with program staff, community partners, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to ensure donation goals are met effectively and efficiently.
Program Goals Management:
- Serve as a key player on a team responsible for ensuring strategic donation goals and inventory objectives are met
- Develop project plans to strategically manage assigned partnership accounts; track partner budgets; and maintain information for reporting and measuring impact
- Establish productive, and professional relationships with key personnel associated with partners (both community and corporate/foundation partners)
- Meet assigned targets for equipment distribution and closely track related metrics to goals on a regular and ongoing basis
- Co-manage community outreach prospecting & stewardship initiatives
Leadership:
- Supervise 1-2 Program Associates, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. May also supervise seasonal interns and Co-op’s as necessary.
- Identify and address training needs for direct reports helping to facilitate learning and development opportunities as appropriate
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication and shared decision-making
Other:
- Travel is required for the execution of this role as is the ability to work occasional weekends and evenings
- Managers may on occasion be asked to assist with certain warehouse tasks such as prepping equipment, packing equipment, and inventory audit activities
- All other duties as assigned by the Director, Program
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, with at least 3-4 years relevant professional work experience in a Sr. Associate or managerial role (non-profit sector experience is a plus)
- Experienced people manager/supervisor, with proven ability for fostering positive relationships and internally influencing others
- Technologically savvy, Microsoft Office 365 proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to using ERP/CRM types of software (currently we are using NetSuite)
- Self-initiated with the foresight to anticipate needs weeks and months in advance
- Creative problem-solver and proactive decision-maker who is quickly able to prioritize important tasks on the fly
- Developed project management skills with adept communication skills, organization skills, and an orientation for detail
- Exceptional oral presentation skills to represent Good Sports and its mission to various partners. Comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
- Independent and disciplined approach to work but someone who also values a team-oriented, collaborative work environment and operates with an “everyone pitches in” attitude.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP and LOCATION
The Manager is a Braintree, MA-based position and is not remote. All general office staff positions are expected to report to the Braintree facility a minimum of 4x/week (one day which must be Tuesday) with the option to work remotely one fixed day/week. The Program Manager will report to the Director, Program.

- Salary range for this role is $65k-75k (placement within this range will depend on the number of years and type of direct and applicable experience)
