Job Summary
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide nursing care for Avera@Home patients following the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
- The nurse assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing care provided to patients in their homes or in facilities.
- The nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care for the population served.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- License as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota may be required depending on the service area. If required, must obtain within 90 days of being placed in the position or of the requirement.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with wknd/hol/call involvement; 72hrs/2wks
- Call involvement: average about 3-4 call shifts a month

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
