Overview -
- Schedule: PRN (per diem).The anticipated need is 1-3 days a week dependent on volume, but there are no set schedules or guaranteed hours for this PRN position. Start times may flex within day shift range, starting from 5:45AM. The center is operational M-F, no call, no weekends, and no major holidays required.
- Department: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) & Pre/Post. Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent prior PACU, Pre/Post, ICU, or Emergency Department experience to be considered for this PRN position.
- Location: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), 1730 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, North Carolina
- Unit Info: Patients recovering from opthalmology, ortho, pain management & urology cases. This employee will be doing Pre/Post and Phase 1 and 2.

Qualifications - Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience; preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- ACLS and PALS, preferred.
- Additional skills required: Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and ability to carry out the functions as stated in the NC nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
