Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Women’s and Children’s Services coordinates patient care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of a Registered Nursing education program preferred.
- 6 Months to 1 Year Experience, preferably in Obstetrics/Pediatrics
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Must have current RN licensure in the state of SD or “multi-state privilege” to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.
- BLS Certification within 60 days of hire
- Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months of hire / when next program available.
- Completion of Pediatric Advance Life Support certification within first 6 months of hire/ when next program available if team leading pediatric patients.
Work Schedule
- Day/Night shifts as needed: 7:00am-7:30pm/7:00pm-7:30am, occasional weekend, occasional holiday; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
